Beyond the Dog. LLC

About

Beyond the Dog is a science-driven, family-oriented behavior and training company founded in Kansas City in 2005 by Kristyn and Sean Savage. Grounded in doctoral research, applied behavioral science, and decades of real-world experience with exotic animals, they’ve expanded to multiple markets—including Houston, Austin, Dallas, Sarasota, and Tampa Bay. Each trainer receives rigorous mentorship and certification, with leadership from Dr. Kristyn (PhD, CAAB, BCBA) and Sean (CPDT-KA, CDBC). The team uses evidence-based methods like classical and operant conditioning to address issues from fear and resource guarding to separation anxiety, aiming to enhance both canine and human lives.
